Gooey chocolate pancakes
Ingredients

bowl (large), nonstick pan, spatula, plate, mixing bowl, cooking spoon

- 120 g flour
- 1 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Belgian-style hot chocolate powder
- ⅔ tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
On a medium bowl, sift flour, baking powder, hot chocoholic powder and sugar together. Drop in a pinch of salt.

- 30 ml milk
- 30 ml warm water

On a small bowl, beat the egg and combine with milk and then warm water. Pour liquid mixture into the dry mixture and mix until combined.

Using a non-stick pan on medium heat, pour 1/4 of the mixture at the center of the pan until each side cooks (a few seconds). Flip over with a spatula then retrieve to cool. Repeat until mixture is finished.

Stack pancakes and drizzle with good quality melted chocolate sauce (melt chocolate in a bowl placed above another bowl of boiled water. Add a dash of milk and mix for a silky, loose texture)

- 3 fresh figs
- 8 Cape gooseberries
- 1 scoop chocolate ice cream
(optional) Top with a scoop of ice cream, chopped walnuts, sliced figs and cape gooseberries
