  • Step 1/3

    Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F. Pluck basil leaves from stems. Remove the casings from the sausage and discard, then roughly chop sausage. In a frying pan, add some oil and sauté the gnocchi until golden brown on both sides.

    • 200 g Italian sausages
    • 350 g gnocchi

    Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F. Pluck basil leaves from stems. Remove the casings from the sausage and discard, then roughly chop sausage. In a frying pan, add some oil and sauté the gnocchi until golden brown on both sides.

    Transfer crispy gnocchi to a baking dish. In the same pan as you fried the gnocchi, pan fry the sausage for approx. 5 min., then add chopped tomatoes. Let the sauce simmer for approx. 5 min.,  then season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.

    Add the sauce to the gnocchi and stir well to combine. Drain the mozzarella and roughly tear it over the top of the baking dish, along with the basil. Transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake at 200°C/400°F for approx. 20 min. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy!
    • 150 g mozzarella cheese

    Add the sauce to the gnocchi and stir well to combine. Drain the mozzarella and roughly tear it over the top of the baking dish, along with the basil. Transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake at 200°C/400°F for approx. 20 min. Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy!
