The forefathers were totally talking about having the right to barbeque in a public place within the union of friends, while experiencing relative tranquility, right?
The 4th of July is without a doubt American’s most important public holiday. After all, it is the one day set aside annually to celebrate our very existence as a nation. How exactly, then, does one commemorate the birth of a nation, as well as its history and present? As you wish, I suppose. In my experience, however, most Americans make the most of this day by stocking up on an assortment of delectable foods and drinks, heading outdoors to bask in what’s hopefully beautiful weather, and letting pleasure and mirth, for once in the year, take precedence over responsibility and routine. As long as you’re doing all of these things—you’re doing it right.
Here’s a collection of some of our favorite 4th of July picnic items to help you enjoy your holiday to the fullest.
