"This recipe has been updated to improve your cooking experience (March 2024). Making a USA-style smash burger at home is easier than you think. For the best results, use a cast iron pan and make sure it’s super hot before adding the patties. We prefer these burgers with classic toppings, but you can experiment however you like! Add bacon, caramelized onions, or an alternative cheese, such as blue or brie."
