Ingredients

1 lb Ground Mild Italian Sausage
¼ tsp Red Pepper Flakes (a pinch)
1 tbsp Garlic (minced)
3 tbsp Knorr Chicken Base
1 tbsp flour
Cannellini Beans ( 1 can) Drained
6 cups Water
2 cups Penne Pasta (uncooked)
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 tsp Tomato Paste
Parsley Flakes
  • Step 1/6

    • 1 lb Ground Mild Italian Sausage
    • 1 tbsp Garlic (minced)
    • ¼ tsp Red Pepper Flakes (a pinch)

    In a pot or Dutch oven cook Italian sausage and a pinch of red pepper flakes over medium high heat. Add garlic and cook a minute more

  • Step 2/6

    • 3 tbsp Knorr Chicken Base
    • 1 tbsp flour

    After meat is cooked and no longer pink, sprinkle the flour and Knorr chicken base over the meat and stir.

  • Step 3/6

    • 6 cups Water
    • Cannellini Beans ( 1 can) Drained

    Pour water into pot and stir. Add can of beans and bring to a boil

  • Step 4/6

    • 2 cups Penne Pasta (uncooked)

    When the water is boiling add pasta

  • Step 5/6

    • Salt & Pepper to taste
    • 1 tsp Tomato Paste

    Add seasonings and tomato paste, cook until pasta is tender, but not mushy

  • Step 6/6

    • Parsley Flakes

    Turn down heat to low and serve - top with parsley flakes and Parmesan cheese if desired
