Editorial Team at Kitchen Stories

Just like the food industry is constantly evolving, we are, too. Ever since we started 9 years ago, we never stop thinking about improving our platform and making cooking more enjoyable and practical for everyone. You may have noticed something new here. Yes, we’re thrilled to share our latest upgrade: we are making some changes to how Kitchen Stories looks and feels, and are introducing some exciting features that will help you find more of the cooking content you are craving.

Our team has been even harder at work for the past few weeks and we’re proud to present what’s coming. Remember to update your app! Here’s what’s new:

A more personalized feed

Up until today, the Kitchen Stories home page has been thoughtfully curated by our editors. We’re now slowly upgrading the content curation by introducing a feed that is more personalized.

This is how it works:

Fill out the survey (you can find it when you click on any recipe underneath the utensil section) about your cooking preferences, and we’ll show you more content based on your preferences. Namely, more meatless recipes for vegetarian home cooks, and more tried-and-tested pasta recipes for Italian cuisine enthusiasts.

Don’t worry, you’ll still find recipes and articles hand-picked by our editors around certain topics, together with the content that is automatically curated to you. We believe this update will give you quicker and easier access to the content you are looking for or might enjoy and get inspiration from.

An updated visual design

With updated typography, new colors, a refined illustration style, and stunning photography, we’ve updated how Kitchen Stories looks and feels. We’re introducing new colors that better convey what we’re all about: delicious food and smooth user experience; a new typeface to make browsing and reading more enjoyable.

We will from now on slowly implement and test these new aspects across the platform.

Updated recipe cards

We’ve also made some changes to the part you are most familiar with: our recipe cards. We wanted to make choosing a recipe easier by presenting the recipe information in a more straightforward way. With the improved recipe tags, you’ll now see how long it takes to cook a recipe, and if it is vegetarian or vegan. Last but not least, we’ve updated our like-button, so that you can engage better with the content you enjoy.

This is just a beginning, but we are more than excited to share every step with you. Hope you are excited to be the first ones to experience a better Kitchen Stories, too. If you have any questions or feedback, send us a mail!
