What’s so special about this recipe?

The beauty of this recipe is that it requires only one frying pan, used for both searing and baking the chicken. This one-pan dinner is prepared in 20 minutes, then bakes to perfection in just 25 minutes more. Sun-dried tomatoes add tang that harmonizes well with the salty Parmesan cheese and richness of the sauce.

Why do we love this recipe?

A recipe with the all-time favorite protein (chicken, of course!) and a creamy, umami pan sauce—what could possibly go wrong? Our hungry Kitchen Stories Team had high expectations and were not disappointed. After the first bite, everybody at the table was asking for the recipe!

Our tips for making this weeknight dinner

Sear the chicken at medium-high heat, add all of the ingredients for the sauce, and cook until the chicken is completely cooked through—the time will vary depending on the thickness of your chicken breast.

The original recipe called for first removing the chicken from the frying pan and preparing the sauce separately, however we allowed the chicken to stay in the pan while preparing the sauce to both make things quicker, and tastier. You can use dehydrated sun-dried tomatoes but we highly recommend jarred sun-dried tomatoes in oil.

Serving Suggestions: Team this easy chicken dish with rice, freshly baked bread, mashed potatoes, or your favorite pasta. Garnish it with basil and some additional grated Parmesan cheese and everybody at the table is bound to happily scarf it down.
