The Classic Chocolate Chip
Ingredients
Step 1/8
Preheat oven to 325* and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2/8
- ⅛ cup sugar
- ⅛ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ sticks salted butter (soft)
Beat both sugars and softened butter until incorporated
Step 3/8
- ⅛ tsp vanilla extract
- ⅛ egg
- ⅛ egg yolk
- ⅛ tbsp milk
Beat egg and egg yolk together, add vanilla, and combine with sugar and butter mixture until smooth (add milk if needed)
Step 4/8
- ⅜ cups flour
- ⅛ tsp baking soda
- ⅛ pinch ground cinnamon
In a separate bowl, sift flour and stir in baking soda and cinnamon
Step 5/8
Add dry ingredients to wet. Mix together until fully incorporated
Step 6/8
- 2 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
Stir in chocolate chips
Step 7/8
Roll dough into 1/2” balls and place on parchment paper lined cookie sheet 1” apart. Sprinkle with salt.
Step 8/8
- ⅛ pinch salt
Bake at 325* for 10 minutes
