"Craved for some hot tomato dish this morning and tried to combine shakshuka with a avocado toast. It turned out pretty good!"

    • ½ onion
    • 1 clove garlic

    Finely dice onion and garlic

  • Step 2/6

    • 200 g canned crushed tomatoes
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • pepper
    • salt

    Add olive oil to a small pan (8 inch pan for 2 servings). Sauté diced onion and garlic on medium heat until translucent. Add canned crushed tomatoes. Season with pepper and salt. Stir to combine

    • 2 eggs

    Crack eggs into the pan. Put the lid on and simmer until eggs at set

  • Step 4/6

    • 2 slices baguettes

    Brush olive oil on both sides of baguette slices and toast in a toaster until crispy

  • Step 5/6

    • 1 avocado

    Halve and peel avocado, remove the pit and smash it in a bowl with a fork

  • Step 6/6

    Top each baguette slice with avocado and shakshuka, season with salt and pepper
