Buttermilk, room temp (use 2 tbs lemon juice)

vanillin

Butter, melted

  • Step 1/6

    Whisk dry ingredients together

  • Step 2/6

    Mix together egg yolks, melted butter and buttermilk.

  • Step 3/6

    Beat egg whites until soft peaks form

  • Step 4/6

    Combine dry and wet ingredients. Don,t over mix! When flour and wet ingredients are partially combined, fold in egg whites.

  • Step 5/6

    Let batter rest for 45 minutes at room temperature. Preheat the pan.

  • Step 6/6

    Using a 1/3 measuring cup (two tablespoons) scoop the batter onto a buttered hot pan. When bubbles form gently turn over and cook other side
