"Check our Instagram Reels for the video (@kitchenstories_official)! The recipe is inspired by the TikTok video from cookbook author Jake Cohen. By roasting 4 whole heads of garlic for 1 hour, the garlicky flavor is more mild, even a bit sweet! To make a more classic garlic bread, mince 4 cloves of garlic and mix them in with softened butter instead."

  • Step 1/3

    • 2 bulbs garlic
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tbsp parsley
    • salt
    • cutting board
    • knife
    • aluminum foil
    • oven

Cut off each top of the whole garlic bulbs, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt. Wrap the bulbs in aluminum foil, transfer to the oven, and roast at 200ºC/400ºF for approx. 1 hr. Finely chop parsley.

  • Step 2/3

    • 60 g butter (soft)
    • ½ tsp chili flakes
    • salt
    • bowl (small)

Add softened butter, parsley, and chili flakes to a small bowl. When the garlic is done roasting and cool enough to handle, squeeze the soft insides of the bulbs into the butter. Season with salt and mix into a smooth paste.

  • Step 3/3

    • ½ baguette
    • serrated knife
    • pastry brush

Halve the baguette lengthwise. Brush garlic butter on the cut sides of the baguette, covering it entirely. Transfer to the oven and bake at 200ºC/400ºF for approx. 8 – 10 min., until the bread is golden. Cut into pieces and enjoy!

  • Enjoy your meal!
