Parippu Vade (Lentil Patties)
Ingredients

2 bowls, food processor, frying pan (deep)
Step 1/ 8
- ⅛ kg yellow split peas
- bowl
Soak the yellow split peas overnight.
Step 2/ 8
After 24 hours....drain the water of the yellow split peas.
Step 3/ 8
- food processor
Pulse the lentil, till it is a crumbly paste.
Step 4/ 8
- ¼ tsp fennel seeds
- ⅜ tsp chili flakes
- ⅛ tsp salt

Add the fennel seeds, chili flakes, and salt to the pulsed split pea and mix to combine well.
Step 5/ 8
Give the Vade (Patty) mixture a little taste and add more salt and chili flakes to cater to your taste preferences.
Step 6/ 8
- frying pan (deep)
Heat oil in a deep pan.
Step 7/ 8
Using a small quantity of the split pea paste, make a flat circular shape (not making the patti too thick).
Step 8/ 8
Fry the patties for 5 minutes....till it is brown in colour.
