Soak the yellow split peas overnight.
After 24 hours....drain the water of the yellow split peas.
Pulse the lentil, till it is a crumbly paste.
Mix together cumin seeds, chilli flakes and salt to the pulsed split peas and combine well.
Heat oil in a deep pan.
Using a small quantity of the split pea paste, make a flat circular shape (not making the patti too thick).
Fry the patties for 5 minutes....till it is brown in colour.
