"Kashmir is a valley of mountains and the cuisine is quite unique especially the breads that are consumed in the region. This is one famous cookie recipe or should I say the only cookie recipe native to the region."

confectioner’s sugar

baking soda
poppy seed

    • 2 scoop flour

    • 8 tbsp confectioner’s sugar
    • 2 tsp baking soda

    Form a crumbly dough using flour, sugar, clarified butter and baking soda

  • Step 2/5

    Once the dough comes together. Roll it till it is about 3 inches thick and cut out circles with a cookie cutter.

    Transfer to a baking tray and brush the tops with egg wash followed by a sprinkle of poppy seeds

  • Step 4/5

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 mins.

    Cool completely before eating.
