How to wash salad

Technique:

If you’ve ever bought a head of lettuce at the grocery store, chances are you’ve come across fine grains or soil or sand between the leaves. You’ll want to leave these out of your salad. To clean lettuce, cut off the stem, pull the leaves apart, and submerge them in cold water. Then transfer the leaves to a salad spinner to remove excess water.
