It's berries time

Who doesn't love berries? These small, mostly sweet fruits are a perfect snack or an ideal ingredient for cake, smoothies or fruit salads. They give your dishes a colorful touch and special note. Make use of different types of berries and bake a delicious Pavlova to impress your guests at a summer party.

To clean the berries, place them in a sieve. Immerse in a large bowl of water and lightly shake the sieve. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to dry. Store in a fridge before use. To prepare strawberries, remove the hull. Cut lengthwise in slices or into quarters. To prepare currants, remove the stem. Dip them into a bowl filled with water and coat them with sugar. Serve on a plate. Enjoy them in salads, cakes, drinks or as healthy snacks.
