- 2¼ tsp active dry yeast
- ¾ cup active dry yeast
Dissolve yeast in water.

- 2⅔ cups flour
- 1½ tbsp vegetable oil
- ¼ tsp salt
Add flour, oil, & salt. Mix well and turn onto a well-floured board.

Knead until soft and elastic (8-10 min). If sticky, add more flour as needed.

Oil/grease a large bowl and place dough in. Grease the top of the dough. Cover with a blanket or towel and place away from any draft. Let rise until double in size (1 - 1 1/2 hr). Ready when dough bounces back when lightly pressed with finger.

Shape into a 13” round pan or two smaller pans. With index finger, press around the inside edge to make a rounded crust.

- 16 oz canned crushed tomatoes
- ½ tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
To make the sauce, lightly oil a frying pan. Place tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper in the pan and sauté for 10-15 min. Let cool before placing desired amount on pie dough.
Step 7/ 7
- 6 oz mozzarella cheese
Top dough with sauce, grated mozzarella, and other desired toppings. Bake at 500 degrees for 10 min. on lower shelf of oven.
