Ingredients

Pieces:-10+
1 cup grated coconut
2 tbsp whole-wheat flour
¾ cup all purpose flour
Hershey's chocolate syrup
salt
1 tbsp powdered sugar
vegetable oil (for deep frying)
Dry fruits chopped ( of your choice)
½ tsp cardamom powder
melted jaggery(as per the sweetness you like)

  • Step 1/4

    Take the grated coconut in a bowl.Add the melted jaggery,Hershey's chocolate syrup ( Add as per your liking)and cardamom powder and mix well. Add pinch of salt to taste. Finally add the chopped dry fruits and mix well.(Feel free to taste).

  • Step 2/4

    Take all purpose flour,whole wheat flour,cocoa powder,powdered sugar,salt to taste and 1 tsp vegetable oil.Mix well. knead a soft dough using required quantity of water.

  • Step 3/4

    Take a small portion of the dough, dust it with all purpose flour and flatten it using a rolling pin into a small circle. Place the chocolate coconut filling in the center and wet the edges with a wet cotton.Take all the edges carefully forming pleates and seal the modak.

  • Step 4/4

    Heat vegetable oil in a deep kadai and fry the modaks till golden in colour.
