Warm up the milk little bit and add the strands of saffron to it. If you are using Cardamom instead of saffron, it doesn't require soaking. Take a pan and add ghee to it.
Add the milk powder and condensed milk and mix it well, cook it on a low flame.
Add in the soaked saffron milk and chopped dried cranberries and cook on a low flame. (I prefer saffron, so soak it in the milk to be used for the recipe, before hand. Warm up the milk sligthly and a few saffron strands to the milk.) You can add in cardamom powder directly to the mixture instead of saffron.
Cook till the mixture thickens while stiring it continuously.
Add in the grated or crumbled paneer or mawa/khoya and stir continuously.
Switch off the flame when it starts leaving the pan. Transfer in a plate and cool it down slightly. Make pedas using some ghee in your hand.
Your delicious cranberry pedas are ready!!!
