- 50 g butter
- 45 g sugar
- standing mixer or hand mixer with beaters
Beat butter and approx. a third of the sugar in a standing mixer or with a hand mixer until fluffy.
Step 2/8
- 1 eggs
Add eggs one after the other and mix until incorporated.

- 62½ g all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 50 ml milk
- salt
Add flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt, and milk. Continue to mix until a smooth batter forms.

- 150 g apples

For the chutney, cut apples into fine cubes.

- 75 g sugar
- 1 lemons

Caramelize the remaining sugar in a small saucepan. Deglaze with lemon juice and reduce until the caramel is velvety.

- 75 ml apple juice
Add apple juice to the caramel and reduce on medium-high heat for another 5 min.

Add apple pieces, cinnamon stick and a pinch of salt and allow to reduce on medium heat for approx. 5 - 10 min. until the fruit has softened.

Meanwhile, heat the waffle iron and grease if necessary. Bake the waffles in the waffle iron until golden. Serve warm with icing sugar and apple chutney.
