Ingredients

unsalted butter (soft)
200 g
sugar
220 g
brown sugar
1 tsp
baking powder
2 tsp
water (hot)
½ tbsp
salt
400 g
flour
340 g
semi-sweet chocolate chips

Utensils

2 ovens, 3 hand mixers with beaters, sieve, cooking spoon, baking sheet, baking tray

  • Step 1/10

    • oven

    Preheat the oven at 220C

  • Step 2/10

    • 227 g unsalted butter (soft)
    • 200 g sugar
    • 220 g brown sugar
    • hand mixer with beaters

    Mix butter with sugar until soft

  • Step 3/10

    • 2 eggs
    • hand mixer with beaters

    Add one egg at a time

  • Step 4/10

    • 1 tbsp cream cheese

    Add cream cheese

  • Step 5/10

    • 2 tsp vanilla extract

    Add vanilla

  • Step 6/10

    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 2 tsp water (hot)

    Mix the baking powder and the hot water and add to the main mix

    • ½ tbsp salt
    • 400 g flour
    • sieve
    • hand mixer with beaters

    Add flour slowly using a sieve and salt

  • Step 8/10

    • 340 g semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • cooking spoon

    Finally add chocolate chips and mix with a spoon or by hand

  • Step 9/10

    • baking sheet
    • baking tray

    Place baking sheets on a tray and add tbsp size cookie dough with at least 3cm in between each

    Bake for 10 minutes or until borders of the cookies are golden
