Heat oven to 375°F

Place sheets of foil or metal racks on countertop for cooling cookies

- ¾ cup Butter Flavored Crisco Shortening
- 1¼ cups brown sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Combine the butter flavored Crisco, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium using an electric hand or stand mixer.

Beat egg to the creamed mixture

- 1¾ cups All purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ¾ tsp Baking soda
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda

Mix the dry ingredients into the creamed mixer just until blended

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chip
Stir in the chocolate chips

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough into an ungreased baking sheet. Bake one sheet at a time, 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 11-13 minutes for crisp cookies
