Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and kosher salt. Mix well until combine.
In another bowl, combine the butter milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract in an electric mixer. Slowly mix in the hot coffee.
Butter 8-inch x 2-inch round cake pans. Add parchment paper. Add the batter evenly between the two pans.
Bake for 30 - 45 minutes. Once done baking, let it cool for 15 min the take out of pans. Then cool for 15 more minutes.
