Ingredients

Pieces:-8+
180 g butter (soft)
150 g brown sugar
eggs
½ tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp lemon juice
175 g flour self-raising
½ tsp baking powder
250 g cherries
100 ml milk
100 g sugar powder for icing.
50 ml lemon juice for icing.
  • Step 1/4

    • 180 g butter (soft)
    • 150 g brown sugar
    • eggs

    Heat owen to 160c. Line the base end side of 20 cm cake tin. Beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in the eggs, one by one.

    • ½ tsp vanilla extract
    • ½ tsp lemon juice
    • 175 g flour self-raising
    • ½ tsp baking powder
    • 100 ml milk

    Add flour and vanilla extract, lemon juce and baking powder. Add milk and mix for 2 minutes.
