Step 1/ 3
- 20 ml milk (lukewarm)
- 7 g fresh yeast
- ⅜ tbsp sugar
- 62½ g flour
- ⅓ eggs
- 12½ g unsalted butter
- salt
- stand mixer with dough hook
- whisk
- kitchen towel
Add milk to the bowl of a stand mixer with a dough hook. Crumble the yeast, then add sugar and mix with a whisk to dissolve. Add flour, eggs, butter, and a pinch of salt to the same bowl. Mix until a dough forms. Cover with a clean towel and let rise in a warm place for approx. 20 min.
Step 2/ 3
- butter (for greasing)
- baking dish
Grease a baking dish with butter and dust it with sugar. On a floured work surface, knead the dough into two logs. Cut each log into 6 pieces so there are 12 pieces in total. Use your hands to form each piece into a ball and transfer to a baking dish. Cover with a towel and let rest for at least 30 min.
Step 3/ 3
- ⅓ tbsp confectioner’s sugar
- oven
- pastry brush
Preheat the oven to 180ºC/350°F. Brush the sweet rolls with remaining melted butter. Transfer to oven and bake for approx. 25 min. Dust with confectioner's sugar and serve with vanilla sauce. Enjoy!
Enjoy your meal!
