"This bean side dish goes well with any kind of barbecue. Black beans and pinto beans would do well, but any kind of bean should work. I used a jalapeño but any other kind of green pepper will do, adjusting for spice levels and sweetness. You can also fry up some bacon and sauté the veggies in the fat before adding the other ingredients. "

Chicken Broth (can use Veggie)
1 tbsp
brown sugar
1 tbsp
Ketchup (I used spicy)
1⅓ dashes
Louisiana Hot Sauce
⅔ tbsp
red wine vinegar

Step 1/ 2
- ⅛ cup onion
- ⅔ Jalapeño
- ⅔ tbsp oil
Chop up onion and pepper and sauté in oil until soft
Step 2/ 2
- 10 oz Beans (Undrained)
- ⅔ cup Chicken Broth (can use Veggie)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Ketchup (I used spicy)
- 1⅓ dashes Louisiana Hot Sauce
- ⅔ tbsp red wine vinegar
Combine remainder of ingredients to pot and let simmer for 30 minutes or until desired consistency. Season with salt & pepper and additional hot sauce if necessary.
