artichoke hearts
300 g spinach leafs
2 slices Gouda Goat Cheese
red onion
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp butter
¼ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp Black pepper
80 ml cream cheese
Pie crust

750 ml whole-wheat flour
2 tbsp butter
½ tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
375 ml Cold water
1 tsp cornflour
½ tsp baking powder

    1st the onion - slice it really thin in half circles. Add the oil into the pan, and frie untill it gets soft and gold. Save it in a recipient.

    • 300 g spinach leafs

    2nd the spinach - in the same pan, add the clean leafs of spinach. When it gets ready, turn off the stove.

    • 80 ml cream cheese

    3rd the artichokes and more - cut the hearts of artichoke in small pieces and add them to the pan, add the onions (1st step), the salt, pepper and nutmeg and the milk cream, mixing. Add the butter and the goat cheese in small pieces. When it is yummy, wait for it to achieve the room temperature in order to fulfill the pie.

    4th build the pie - strech the pie crust and place it into a caserole or a baking dish. Make few small holes with the knife on the dough already stretched and placed on the baking recipient. Fulfill with the creamy spinach-artichoke. Decorating and covering the pie is optional.

    5th Baking - Beat a egg yolk in a bowl. With a brush, spread the beaten egg yolk over the pie. Bake your beautiful and yummy pie in a pre heaten oven at 180oC for almost 1 hour or until it get ready for you.

    How to make the Pie Crust: in a big bowl, add the flower sifted, add the salt, the sugar and the baking powder. Mix it. Add the butter and the egg. Mix it with hands. Slowly keep adding the water until it gets the point, without sticking in the hands. Blow the dough. As it is whole-wheat flower, the dough can be tougher than usual. In this case, you can take a small bownl and mix cornflower with cold water, and just wet your hands (or fingers) on it and again blow the dough for few more minutes.
