Reverse bacon and cheese burger
Ingredients
Utensils
4 cutting boards, 3 knives, 1 spatula (optional), 3 frying pans, 2 spatulas
Step 1/9
- 2 cutting boards
- 1 knife
- 1 spatula (optional)
Gather all of your ingredients. Grate the cheese (or slice if desired).
Step 2/9
- 2 beef hamburger patty
- 1 cutting board
- 1 knife
Cut the burger in half so that you have 2, thinner burgers.
Step 3/9
- 40 g butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 knife
- 1 cutting board
On the chopping board, butter the tops of the burgers then season with salt, pepper and a herb of your choosing (I used Thyme in this recipe).
Step 4/9
- 1 frying pan
- 1 spatula
In a pan over high heat, put the burgers face down so the side with the butter on starts cooking first. Time these to cook for 5 minutes.
Step 5/9
- 1 frying pan
While the first side is cooking, butter and season the side that is face up. Be careful of any spitting butter!
Step 6/9
- 1 frying pan
- 1 spatula
After the 5 minutes are up, turn the burgers over and again, cook this side for 5 minutes.
Step 7/9
Once the 5 minutes are up, leave the burgers aside to rest.
Step 8/9
- 4 slices bacon
Now put the 2 pieces of bacon in the pan to start cooking to your liking - they won’t take long though.
Step 9/9
- 60 g cheese
Once the bacon is cooked, put them on your burger and top with cheese.
Enjoy your meal!
