- 1½ cups flour
- 3½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
In a large bowl sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- 1¼ cups milk
- 1 egg
Make a well in the center and pour in the milk and egg. Mix until smooth.
- 3 tbsp butter (melted)
Mix in the melted butter until smooth.
Heat a lightly oiled or buttered griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the pan using approximately 1/4th cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.
