"It doesn’t get much more Christmas-y than gingerbread—that’s for sure. But this year, we’ve put a new spin on the classic. Say goodbye to traditional gingerbread men with white icing buttons and painted-on smiles and hello to Christmas Monkey Bread: delicious vanilla-infused mascarpone encased in fluffy dough pockets, dipped in brown sugar and a seasonal gingerbread spice mix, and baked in a bundt pan. It’s a stunning dessert centerpiece. Tear and share this treat with the whole family, and enjoy these melting-middle treats all season long."

  • The new take on gingerbread.

    • 44 g raw sugar
    • ½ gingerbread spice
    • bread dough
    • knife
    • bowl

Preheat the oven to 180°C/356°F. Mix about half of the brown sugar with the gingerbread spice. Cut the dough rounds into bite-sized pieces and roll the pieces in the sugar-spice mixture until fully coated.

  • Step 2/3

    • 25 butter (melted)
    • 44 g raw sugar
    • baking pan

Place half of the dough pieces into a greased baking pan, pour the melted butter over them, and add the remaining dough pieces. Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar over the top and bake the Monkey Bread for approx. 30 min.

  • Step 3/3

    • 80 mascarpone cheese
    • 30 cream cheese
    • ¼ vanilla powder
    • clear cake glaze (for decorating)
    • whisk

While the bread is cooling, mix the mascarpone, cream cheese, and vanilla until you have a smooth glaze. Invert the still-warm Monkey Bread onto a serving platter. Drizzle with the cream cheese glaze and optionally decorate with the pre-made glaze.

  • Enjoy your meal!
