|2 cups||Black cherries|
|⅔ cup||White sugar|
|1 sheet||pie dough|
|½ cup||brown sugar|
|¼ cup||butter, cold|
Preheat oven to 350*F and spray a 8x12 inch baking pan
Place cherries, white sugar, and 2 Tbsp of water in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Mix together cornstarch and the rest of the water in a small bowl with a fork until smooth, then add this mixture into the cherry mixture and stir with a wooden spoon.
Place pie dough in the prepared pan. Once cherry mixture is very thick, spread it over the pie dough evenly with a spatula.
Mix flour and brown sugar together in a small bowl. Using very cold butter, cut the butter into the flour/sugar mixture. Cut until it is very crumby and mixed in evenly. Spread this mixture over the cherries evenly, making sure not to press down and keeping the crumbs separated.
Bake in preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the edges of the pie dough are light brown. Take out of oven and let cool for at least ten minutes before cutting.
