Ingredients
Step 1/7
Preheat oven to 350°
Step 2/7
- 8 tbsp salted butter
- 2 oz unsweetened chocolate
Heat the butter and unsweetened chocolate (coarsely chopped) in a small sauce pan over low heat stirring until melted and smooth.

- 1 cup sugar
remove the pan from the heat and whisk in the sugar until smooth. Pour in a medium bowl and set aside to cool for 10 minutes. 
Step 4/7
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
Whisk the eggs in one at a time. Whisk in the flour, vanilla, and salt.
Step 5/7
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chip
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked pie crust 9”
fold and the chocolate morsels and pecans. Pour into the piecrust. 
Step 6/7
- powdered sugar, for garnish
Bake until just set an a crust forms on top, about one hour. Cool to room temperature on wire rack. 
Step 7/7
just before serving, dust with powdered sugar.
