Vorwerk unveils the new Thermomix TM7, featuring new functions and a new design. The most interesting news for end consumers is the price of the new kitchen appliance, which at 1,549€ is only slightly higher than that of the previous model. The device is available for order starting now. The TM7 will be shipped from April 7, 2025, and, as before, can only be purchased through the Vorwerk website or via a consultation over the phone.

Tip: Anyone who orders a Thermomix TM6 after January 27, 2025, and has not yet received it, can request an upgrade by paying the price difference and will receive the TM7 directly in April. The TM6, meanwhile, will continue to receive new software updates for 10 more years, but it will no longer be sold.

The New Design of the Thermomix TM7

Simpler and with a larger touchscreen – these are the main features of the TM7. The touchscreen of the new Thermomix is approximately 10 inches, reaching iPad size. The outer bowl of the device has been redesigned to be more minimalistic. The new ribbed pattern is made from 30% recycled materials and ensures that no fingerprints are visible. The casing also insulates the inner bowl, which is still made of stainless steel, allowing you to handle the bowl easily from the outside. Additionally, as about 50% of fans requested in surveys, the device will now only be available in black. Lastly, a small wheel at the rear of the unit now makes it easier to move the Thermomix on countertops.

The New Features of the Thermomix TM7

In addition to many new features, all fans of the older device can breathe easy, as all functions from the 2019-released TM6 are being fully retained. New features include cooking with an open lid (at lower speeds) and magnets on the lid that promise secure closure. The Varoma steaming attachment has an increased volume of 45% thanks to a new design – however, the TM6 Varoma attachment will still fit the new device. Many other small improvements have been made to the TM7, which cannot all be listed here.

From Physical to Digital: The well-known "Browning Mode," which was previously only available via subscription, is now free for everyone. Additionally, the device’s noise level at maximum speed will only be around 50 dB, which is barely noticeable in everyday use. The display now shows in real-time how many grams of an ingredient have been added and signals when enough has been added for the recipe. However the machine cannot distinguish between ingredients like flour and sugar, so you will need to follow the order of ingredients in the Cookidoo app. The app will also be redesigned and will feature new functions starting in the summer of 2025, such as direct recipe transfer to the Thermomix and notifications when the food is ready. Currently, there is no new AI integration or voice control, but the device is capable of these features. Updates in this regard are expected to be released over time.
