Tofu is one of the most popular soy products there is. Though, this hasn't always been the case for the beloved tofu. It has been gaining a steady increase with a demand rise between 20%-30% in the market. This places tofu in a great spot overall for the vegetable protein market, especially in the meat substitute category. Tofu provides fiber, protein, calcium, and more to keep up with meat.

However, the demand is now going higher than production can keep up.

Apparently, big manufacturers like Taifun and Berief are hardly keeping up with demand from the consumers. On the other hand, there are many more manufacturers that are coming into the tofu game, which is good news for any tofu lover. 

It seems there won’t be a shortage any time soon, but the tofu craze will only continue to grow; thanks to social media recipes and the benefits tofu itself brings to recipes in general.
