Sweet and sour fish
Ingredients
Step 1/ 8
- 500 g cod fillets
- ¼ lemon
- ¼ tsp white pepper
Prepare all the ingredients, cut onion, bell peppers into square, crush garlic and marinate fish with lemon juice, pinch of salt and white pepper
Step 2/ 8
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- 1 egg white
Make the batter, combine flour, corn flour, egg white and little bit of water. Mix it until no lumps in the batter.
Step 3/ 8
Dip marinated fish into the batter
Step 4/ 8
- 200 ml cooking oil
Fry fish until golden brown and set a side
Step 5/ 8
- ½ red bell pepper
- ½ yellow bell pepper
- ½ onion
- 2 cloves garlic
Sauté onion, garlic, bell peppers for about 2 minutes
Step 6/ 8
- 5 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- ½ tsp salt
Add tomato sauce, vinegar, sugar, dark soya sauce. Add salt to taste
Step 7/ 8
Put back fried fish to the pan and mix it well
Step 8/ 8
Last, add scallions (optional) and your sweet and sour fish is ready to enjoy
