Semmelknoedel (German Bread dumplings)

Ingredients
Step 1/ 7
- 100 g bread rolls or baguette
chop baguette/ bread rolls in thin slices
Step 2/ 7
- 75 ml lukewarm milk
- ⅝ tsp salt
add salt and and Luke warm milk, let incubate for an hour
Step 3/ 7
- ⅛ onion
- ¼ tbsp butter
- ⅛ bundle parsley
peel onion cut into cubes. wash, cut parsley, fry in butter. let cool down afterwards
Step 4/ 7
- ⅝ eggs
- ¼ pinch dried marjoram
- ⅜ pinches pepper
mix eggs with pepper, Majoran and fried onion and parsley
Step 5/ 7
add mix to soaked bread and mix into mass, form ball shaped dumplings
Step 6/ 7
boil water with salt and add dumplings for around 15-20 min or until floating and rotating in the pot.
Step 7/ 7
TIP: add one dumpling in the water first to see if it stays solid. add breadcrumbs if dumpling is falling apart
