“This is a recipe that I make all the time. It’s a quick dip to make and is very enjoyable. It’s nice if you dip in some crackers, carrots etc in it. It’s a recipe that any one can make. ”

Ingredients

60 ml tahini
60 ml lemon juice (1 large lemon)
Small garlic clove minced
2 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp Cumin powder
½ tsp salt
250 g Chickpeas
3 tbsp Cold water

  • Step 1/4

    • 60 ml tahini
    • 60 ml lemon juice (1 large lemon)
    • food processor
    • Spoon
    • Measuring cup

    Add the tahini and fresh lemon juice in a processor to blended together until mixed. Stop the processor in between to scrape the excess off.

  • Step 2/4

    • Small garlic clove minced
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ½ tsp Cumin powder
    • 2 tbsp olive oil
    • Measuring spoons

    Add the oil, ground cumin, salt and garlic clove in the food processor. Stop the food processor and scrape the sides of back in the centre when you process the food.

  • Step 3/4

    • 250 g Chickpeas

    Next you add in half of the chickpeas. Stop the processor in between to scrape the sides again.

  • Step 4/4

    • 3 tbsp Cold water

    Just add in the rest of the chickpeas and process until nice and smooth. Pour in the water while it’s blending to keep it smooth.
