Five spice powder salmon
Ingredients

mortar and pestle, paper towels, ovenproof pan

- ½ tsp Chinese five-spice powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tbsp ginger
- 1½ cloves garlic
- ½ tbsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp honey
- mortar and pestle
Prepare spice paste by pounding ginger, garlic and spices in a mortar with a pestle. Then add soy sauce, honey and lemon juice an pound into a smooth paste.

- ½ tsp butter
- paper towels
- ovenproof pan
Butter an oven-proof glass dish.
Step 3/ 4
- 1 salmon fillets
- ½ tsp canola oil
Cover salmon on both sides with spice paste, place in glass dish and marinade 15-20min. Sprinkle some oil on top.
Step 4/ 4
Preheat oven to 180 degrees while salmon is marinading. Bake for 25mins.
