Utensils

spatula, pot, heatproof bowl, whisk, sieve, baking pan, oven

  • Step 1/ 8

    Preheat oven to 180 degree celsius.

  • Step 2/ 8

    • 31⅛ g bittersweet chocolate
    • 25⅛ g unsalted butter
    • spatula
    • pot
    • heatproof bowl

    Over a double boiler, melt butter and chocolate

  • Step 3/ 8

    • 3⅓ g unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 44½ g caster sugar
    • whisk

    Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in cocoa powder and sugar until thoroughly combined.

  • Step 4/ 8

    • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
    • eggs

    Add vanilla extract into the mixture and mix eggs in one at a time until combined. Mixture should feel “thick”

  • Step 5/ 8

    • 21⅛ g flour
    • tsp sea salt
    • sieve

    Sift and stir in the flour and salt and mix well.

  • Step 6/ 8

    • 27¾ g bittersweet chocolate chips
    • baking pan

    Fold in the chocolate chips with spatula into the mixture and pour it into a 8 inch cake pan (lined)

  • Step 7/ 8

    • oven

    Bake at 180 degree celcius for 25 mins.

    Cut once cooled.
