Preheat oven to 180 degree celsius.
- 140 g bittersweet chocolate
- 113 g unsalted butter
Over a double boiler, melt butter and chocolate
- 15 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 200 g caster sugar
Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in cocoa powder and sugar until thoroughly combined.
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
Add vanilla extract into the mixture and mix eggs in one at a time until combined. Mixture should feel “thick”
Sift and stir in the flour and salt and mix well.
- 125 g bittersweet chocolate chips
Fold in the chocolate chips with spatula into the mixture and pour it into a 8 inch cake pan (lined)
Bake at 180 degree celcius for 25 mins.
Cut once cooled.
