Apple Pear Pie
Preheat Oven to 400 F
- ⅛ tbsp lemon juice
Slice apple pears into fairly thin wedges. I prefer more than 6 for an extra stuffed pie.
- 1⅓ tbsp monk fruit extract granules
- ⅛ tsp ground cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1⅓ tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 apple pears
Mix together filling ingredients in a large bowl and toss to coat & mix with apple pear slices.
- ⅛ frozen deep dish pie crust (or your own)
Fill pie crust
Top thoroughly with crushed hazelnuts
Bake 40-45 minutes until crust is golden brown and apple pears are tender. (After 10-15 min, cover pie in foil to prevent overbrowning or burning)
Rack cool for at least 2 hours
