Ingredients

frozen deep dish pie crust (or your own)
8 tbsp monk fruit extract granules
1 tsp ground cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp lemon juice
8 tbsp unsalted butter
apple pears
12 tbsp crushed hazelnuts
  • Step 1/7

    Preheat Oven to 400 F

  • Step 2/7

    • 1 tbsp lemon juice

    Slice apple pears into fairly thin wedges. I prefer more than 6 for an extra stuffed pie.

  • Step 3/7

    • 8 tbsp monk fruit extract granules
    • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
    • 8 tbsp unsalted butter
    • apple pears

    Mix together filling ingredients in a large bowl and toss to coat & mix with apple pear slices.

  • Step 4/7

    • frozen deep dish pie crust (or your own)

    Fill pie crust

  • Step 5/7

    Top thoroughly with crushed hazelnuts

  • Step 6/7

    Bake 40-45 minutes until crust is golden brown and apple pears are tender. (After 10-15 min, cover pie in foil to prevent overbrowning or burning)

  • Step 7/7

    Rack cool for at least 2 hours
