3 ways to steam vegetables
Ingredients
Steam it up!
Steaming is so easy once you know how it’s done. There are plenty of different ways to do it, but we’ll show you the three most common. You can steam everything and anything, but we especially love to steam vegetables, like carrots and broccoli, as they retain more vitamins that way and are loaded with flavor.
Add more flavors!
For added taste, you can use chicken or vegetable broth instead of water. You can also add spices to the broth to infuse the vegetables with even more flavor. For example, ginger, garlic, lemon grass, and chili are a great combination for an Asian twist. Once you are finished, don’t throw away the nice broth. Just remove the spices and keep the remaining liquid in an airtight container for your next soup, or freeze it in portions in ice cube trays for when you are in need of a little broth!
Enjoy your meal!
