Latest scoop of ice cream: Breast milk ice cream is going viral

In 9 months, the US baby brand Frida, will be delivering a new ice cream flavor: Breast milk! The brand stated that this new flavor is a direct result of the "internet curiosity” for the question “What does breast milk taste like?”

What will breast milk ice cream taste like?

The brand claims the taste will be “sweet, nutty, and a little salty”, and it will include all the vitamins of real breast milk– but will not actually include breast milk. The expected due date of the ice cream is easy to guess; 9 whole months. This new product will consist of very similar nutrients to baby formula and breast milk, which is where the taste will come from. 

These components include but are not limited to; proteins, vitamins, minerals, Omega-3s, and lactose. 

The internet is divided about breast milk ice cream

Frida’s video for the launch went viral, for two main reasons: Those who are fond of the idea and claim that breast milk tastes good, and those who claim April fool’s day has arrived early.

Ice cream and health enthusiasts around the world might be shocked by the results in 9 months, much like any parent-to-be, the internet will be expecting this “baby.” 

For consumers who live in Berlin, this new product begs the question: Will new and uncommon flavors such as this show up during the annual ice cream week? If not this year, perhaps next year?
