The recipe for this new street delicacy is simple; foodies bring a bag of chips of their choice to a food truck, and the bag gets cut in half, then to be filled or topped with various toppings. These can range from pulled pork, bell peppers, beef, chicken, and more.

In Germany, specifically Cologne, the trend has found life at Baron Imbiss-Kult’s location at Aachener Straße. Their famous and well-loved staff member Sui is taking the lead to bring the trend to its lovers in Germany.

This restaurant is doing it in the most German way possible as well; in this video, viewers can see and customers can enjoy the German version of the loaded chips trend with “pommes”, sauerkraut, curry & cheese sauce, and chicken schnitzel.

Customers can have one of these trendy bags of chips for around 8.50€ per bag. The shop owner Alex says that the trend was everywhere, so it had to be brought into Germany as well, and in a rough estimate this new fan favorite packs around 5000 calories per bag. Most ordered toppings include pulled chicken and the intense cheese sauce, all for the body to indulge!
