Peel and dice 6-8 potatoes into 1 inch cube
Place potatoes in cold water to soak for a few mins then empty liquid. Add fresh water and salt, then cook till soft.
Drain, then mash potatoes with butter add milk until smooth.
Add a good handful of grated cheese and mix thoroughly.
Put pastry into a baking dish
Add mash and cheese mix to the pastry
Sprinkle more cheese on top.
Oven bake around 180°c for about 15 mins or until pastry is cooked.
Once baked, remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 mins. Serve with garden peas and warm crusty bread
