⅔ cups
masa harina
½ cups
water
⅛ tsp
salt
⅓ bag
mozzarella cheese⅓ tbsp
vegetable oil (for frying)
Utensils
bowl, nonstick pan
Step 1/6
- ⅔ cups masa harina
- ½ cups water
- ⅛ tsp salt
- bowl
Combine the Masa and salt into a bowl. Slowly mix in the water to make the dough.
Step 2/6
Roll dough into 6 balls
Step 3/6
Flatten dough using the flatter side of a plate.
Step 4/6
- ⅓ bag mozzarella cheese
Add a pinch or so of cheese (don’t over fill the dough) and fold in half and start to reform a ball.
Step 5/6
- ⅓ tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
- nonstick pan
Add vegetable oil to a nonstick pan and heat
Step 6/6
Fry each papusa for about 4-6 min on each side, then serve!
