Splendidly Square-Shaped #KSgrams
Pretty, precise cuts of your favorite foods
Last week we asked you to share your squares, i.e. food that is diced, cut into square slices, or served on some square platter. We did expect a few rectangles, but you showed us that square means square! Your waffles, brownies, tartlets, and breads were cut with precision, your cakes baked on perfectly square sheets, and your soups and salads served in square bowls and plates. Enjoy some of your best #KSgrams:
Let’s Celebrate Oktoberfest (and All Things German)!
The beer barrels have been stacked, sausages prepared, and the dirndls and lederhosen dusted off. It’s this special time of the year again: Oktoberfest kicks off on 16 September. The city of Munich, home to the Oktoberfest, will be welcoming around six million visitors for the fortnight of festivities, and many cities, towns and breweries around the world will host their own versions of the extraordinary event.
This week, we'd like to celebrate everything that is German (and edible) with you. From the usual suspects, like pretzels, schnitzel, and sauerkraut, to lesser knows gems like bee sting cake and beef rouladen, upload your photos underneath the recipes and articles within the Kitchen Stories app. Instagrammers, add #ksgram to your images or tag us @kitchenstories_official.
Here are some German dishes to try this week:
