20-Minute Weeknight Dinners
Dinner can be quick and healthy!
It is eight o’clock and you’re sitting in the office. You’re too exhausted to do anything and your stomach is yelling at you. Nothing would be easier than ordering a pizza or burger at this moment. When you finally arrive home two hours later, you’re overcome with fatigue and the only thing you can do is collapse into bed.
For many of us, this is an all-too-familiar occurrence. Our careers have taken over our lives and made us so tired that we’re no longer able to come home, prepare a meal, and enjoy it properly.
Dinner is much more than simply satisfying hunger, though. So what would you think if I told you that it actually only takes 20 minutes in the evening to make a warm, nutritious dish?
The best choice you can make is probably soup. The mild, soothing taste offers just the right warmth to help relieve the stress of the work day.
Our radish soup with meatballs, which contains the mellow flavors of radish and pork, as well as the warm flavor combination of ginger and soy sauce is a great option for the wintertime.
If you aren’t in the mood for soup, another great option is Indian style chicken curry. One can easily purchase the necessary ingredients at the grocery store. Chicken breast, onion, paprika, and coconut milk are the essentials. If you really want to achieve a genuine Indian flavor profile, add basmati rice and lemon grass. Check out our creamy Indian curry with chicken breast!
And last but not least, you should always have some Italian pasta on hand. Within a few minutes you can serve up some delicious vegetarian Penne alle Norma. Give it a try next week!
