Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Finely grind the speculaas cookies in a food processor. Add flour, ground almonds, some sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and butter and gently combine with your hands to make the crumble topping.

Mix berry mixture with lemon juice and remaining sugar directly in the casserole dish.

Cover the berries with the speculaas cookie crumble and bake at 180°C/350°F for approx. 30 min. Let cool for approx. 10 min. before serving with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

Basically delicious, but the crumble is nothing. Way too much butter. For the amount of speculoos and flour, use a maximum of half the butter, otherwise it won't work.

It was delicious, but not ideal. The streusel definitely has too much butter and therefore doesn't bake through. AjF also depends on the quality of the speculoos. I used the tip with the additional cinnamon on the berries. Conclusion: Wouldn't do it like that anymore. Only with a revised recipe.

Okay in taste. I think that depends a lot on the taste of the speculoos. In the end, I had way too much crumble batter. I think making the whole thing in a flatter shape would have been better.
