Shake the cream in a jar with a lid until it separates. Alternatively, you can use an immersion blender.
Strain the curdled cream through cheese cloth into a measuring cup and squeeze to remove all liquid.
Remove butter from the cloth and pour the buttermilk into a glass for serving.
