  • Step 1/2

    • 4 Granny Smith apples
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
    • 50 g sugar
    • 180 ml water
    • peeler
    • knife
    • cutting board
    • pot (large)

Peel apples. Quarter, core and chop them into large chunks. Add to a pot lemon juice, sugar, and water. Stir to combine and bring to a boil over high heat. Cover and reduce to medium-low heat. Let simmer for approx. 30 min., or until apples are tender and nearly falling apart.

  • Step 2/2

    • immersion blender

Remove from heat. Blend applesauce until smooth, or chunky - if that's what you prefer, using an immersion blender. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy warm or cold with pancakes, ice cream, goat cheese, or even pork chops!

  • Enjoy your meal!
